Two By Two!

We like to joke that our house is like Noah's Ark...inasmuch as our kids have seemingly come two by two. Here Link is about 6 weeks and Naya is 13 months. Still not walking! Just got her 1st tooth.

Bringing Lincoln Home

We found out about Lincoln on a Tuesday. That Friday we went to dinner at Black Angus with Sharon (birth mom) to meet him and see if we felt any sparks for the little guy. Yes...there were sparks! It was the the very restaurant we met Sharon at for the first time 4 years earlier when Brooklyn was in her belly. We were even seated in the same booth. Saturday Sharon took Lincoln to the hospital for a fever. Amber went down to keep her company. Sunday morning we came to the hospital and she contacted LDS services. The caseworker came down on Sunday and she signed foster papers. Amber stayed the night with the baby so she could go home and get rest. Amber and baby didn't sleep a wink! Monday baby was given clean bill of health to leave hospital and we took Lincoln and picked up Sharon to go straight to LDS services where she signed actual ADOPTION papers. It was official! April 28th, 2008 we brought Lincoln home. He was 6 weeks old. We can't believe now that he has only been ours for 2.5 months. We are head over heels for him. What a difference a day makes...we always say!

P.S. We always liked the name Addison and when Naya didn't look like an Addison we wondered why that name had so much significance to us. Everything was about our Addison we thought we had coming. Well we one time joked that maybe it really meant "Add a son". Maybe so!
