Matchy Matchy

Lori was so nice to get Brooklyn a matching outfit like Amelia's!

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Morning 2009

This year we celebrated Easter Sunday with Lincoln...who at this time last year we didn't even know existed! It was a lovely day. A sweet lady in our ward shared in Primary about how her testimony of the atonement was strengthened recently. Her sweet little baby boy passed away suddenly in his sleep 2 months ago. But she spoke with such conviction and clarity that she knew that because of the atonement she would get to be with her baby boy again. She is so strong in the face of adversity. I too am so grateful for my brother Jesus Christ. I am grateful that he understands all pain and suffering. I am grateful that because he was resurrected, we too can have eternal life and live with our Father...and family again!

Hooray for motherhood!

Today I had one of those experiences that I want to look back and read about in 20 years when I "miss how little they used to be" and remind myself that...it is better that they are grown!

In preparation for our upcoming cruise, I took all kids to the mall today to attempt to buy a dress. Then (as it ALWAYS happens)Brook and Ty had to go potty. I was frustrated and Brooklyn reminded me "You should have told us to go at home!" My bad. I made them hold it while I picked out 5 dresses. Then I took everyone in the bathroom with me and I tried on 5 dresses while Lincoln screamed the whole time like I was killing him!(yes he is recovering from fever, ear infection and roseola...but by golly I needed to shop.) Then my Naya got ahold of my lipgloss and was painting her face with it..so when I took it away she was crying too! Then Tyson was running around like a bug on speed as I walked through the store to buy a dress and Lincoln continued to sernade everyone. There were some smirks from passerbyers and a few dirty looks in my direction. Next I picked Lincoln up, put him on one hip and pushed the double stroller with one hand while Brooklyn held the side and Tyson continued to find "short cuts" and run away. We stood in line for some lunch but then Lincoln started crying again in my arms and Tyson was bothering the nice lady next to us who happens to be in our ward. In conclusion, instead of lunch and playing....I ended up leaving the mall! I got a really cute dress though. Yea for motherhood!
